Privacy Policy
Your data security and privacy are fundamental to CupCheck. Here is exactly what we collect and how it is used.
Data Collection
CupCheck collects the minimum amount of data required to maintain your vault and authenticate your session. This includes your email address (used strictly for authentication and account recovery), your chosen username and display name, and the items you log in your collection.
Vault Visibility
Your Vault is private by default. If you wish to share your collection and tier lists with the community, you can toggle your vault to Public at any time via your Account Settings. Private vaults cannot be viewed by anyone other than yourself and database administrators.
Data Security & Third Parties
Authentication and database management are securely handled by Supabase. We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we never hand your account details, vault contents, or email address to an advertiser. Your passwords are cryptographically hashed and never visible to our team.
Advertising
CupCheck is run by one person, and a small number of ad placements cover the server bill. Ads are served by Google AdSense. They appear on the catalog, explore, guides, pre-order tracker, and creator and artist pages — never on an item page, never inside your Vault, and never as a pop-up or interstitial.
Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads, and may personalise what you see based on your previous visits to this and other sites. We do not receive or store any of that data — we see only aggregate earnings. You can review and turn off personalised advertising at Google My Ad Center, and more broadly at aboutads.info.
Supporters see no ads: no ad is requested or rendered on any page for a paying member. Google’s advertising script is present on every page regardless, because the network requires it site-wide, so a supporter’s browser still contacts Google even though nothing is shown.
